1. How the course works

How do the studies work?

Each course has its own workload and specific study requirements, but the core principle remains the same: you progress through the lessons step by step, continuously check your knowledge, work on practical assignments for selected topics, and access support throughout your studies. The entire process leads toward fulfilling all course requirements and earning your certificate.

Study Duration and Pace

The time commitment depends on the specific course and how thoroughly you work through the material. However, you don't need to study every day or stick to a strict schedule at all costs. You can complete lessons continuously, move part of your workload to the weekend, and extend your study period for free according to your needs

When You Need More Time to Study

Illness, holidays, work commitments, or family responsibilities can disrupt your original study plan. That is why you can set your own pace and open individual lessons according to your available time. If you need to take a break, you can simply continue later from where you left off, without having to abandon the course or start again.

What a Typical Study Day Looks Like

One study day can take different forms depending on the course, the topic, and how much time you have at the moment. The core activity is working with a new lesson, which may be followed by a mind map, a practical assignment in ZOF, a practice test, or asking a question in the Q&A forum. Not all of these parts are included every day, and it isn’t necessary to complete them all at once.

2. How you learn

Tests and Knowledge Assessment During Studies

Tests during the course are not used solely for final assessment. Practice questions help you continuously check your understanding of individual lessons, monthly tests assess larger sections of the curriculum, and the final test serves as the concluding theoretical verification of your knowledge. If you do not pass a test, the system allows another attempt, depending on the type of test.

What You Will Learn During Your Studies

During your studies, you don’t just acquire more information about nutrition. You learn to make sense of it, identify connections, evaluate a diet as a whole, and turn theoretical knowledge into concrete, practical work with food. The outcome should be the ability to assess situations in a broader context and to justify your conclusions clearly.

Using Mind Maps in Your Studies

Mind maps are one of the tools you can use in your studies to organize information and review the material later. They help capture the main topics, the relationships between them, and create a concise overview you can return to. Creating them is optional, and each student can choose the approach that suits them best.

How We Keep Our Course Content Up to Date

We continually review and update course content to reflect the evolution of expert knowledge, changes in guidelines, and insights from teaching. Not every new study automatically means a change to a lesson. What matters is whether the new finding holds up in a broader context and truly changes how the topic should be explained or applied in practice.

3. Practice and support

4. Choosing your course

What Nutrition Knowledge Do You Need Before Studying

Our courses are open to learners without prior education or experience in nutrition. Students start from different points—ranging from complete beginners to those who already work in the field professionally. Instruction therefore progresses from fundamental principles to broader context and the practical application of the knowledge acquired.

Which Course Should You Choose?

The right choice of course depends primarily on what you want to learn and how you intend to use the knowledge you gain. A different type of study makes sense for someone who wants a comprehensive understanding of nutrition than for someone focused on sports, children, a specific health area, or professional application. Therefore, the easiest first step is to clarify what you expect from your studies and how you plan to use the knowledge you acquire.

What You Can Gain from Studying

Studying nutrition can mean something different to everyone. Some want to better understand their own diet and decision-making within the family; others are expanding their professional knowledge or exploring a new field of expertise. The common foundation is a better grasp of nutrition and the ability to apply the knowledge gained in specific situations.

Who Studies with Us and Why

People with very diverse experience and goals enroll in our courses. We welcome complete beginners, individuals who want to better navigate their own nutrition and their family’s diet, as well as professionals from related fields. Their starting knowledge and motivations for study vary, but they share a common interest in understanding nutrition more deeply.
